Responsibilities
As a 2026 IT SAP Intern, you will play a supportive role within the IT department, contributing to both ongoing daily operations and specific projects. Your key responsibilities will include:
• Assisting IT department members to gain practical experience and understanding of the IT function’s role in achieving business objectives.
• Developing an automated scorecard designed to measure Textron Specialized Vehicles (TSV) goals against established performance targets.
• Investigating the current business intelligence environment, which encompasses servers, applications, software, and jobs, to thoroughly document the TSV environment and its connections to the CMBD (Configuration Management Database) system.
• Working with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems, specifically Teamcenter, to update and create installation scripts and develop automated reports.
• Designing and implementing customizations for existing TSV systems and platforms.
• Learning the Salesforce platform and developing an administrative understanding of its tools and functionalities.
• Familiarizing yourself with the change control process within Salesforce systems, and then developing, conducting, and implementing approved changes into production environments.
• Implementing modifications to developed platforms to support internal groups and customers, aiming to reduce manual processes.
• Gaining insights into business needs by actively participating in the development and implementation of new processes and technologies.
• Providing support to various IT departments, including Infrastructure, Security, SAP, PLM, or Analytics, as needed.
Qualifications
• Education: Must be pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related field (required).
• GPA: A cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher is required.
• Software Knowledge: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and exposure to ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) systems are necessary.
