2026 Instrumentation Technician Internship

Location: Geismar, LA (37269 Highway 30)

Program Summary:

BASF is seeking a highly motivated student or recent graduate in Industrial Instrumentation Technology or Instrument & Control Systems Technology for an Instrumentation Internship program at their Geismar, LA site.

• Gain valuable, hands-on experience in various Instrument Technician activities.
• Develop both technical and professional skills in your area of study.
• Work a 4/10 schedule for 3-4 months, shadowing a BASF Instrument Technician.
• Employment will be through a 3rd party contractor for the duration of the internship.
• Successful interns who complete the program may be considered for upcoming full-time positions at the site.

What We’re Looking For (Formula for Success):

• Current student in the last semester of, or recent graduate with, a degree in one of the following areas:
  • Industrial Instrumentation Technology
  • Instrument & Control Systems Technology
• Academic achievement (minimum GPA 3.0) with a letter of recommendation from a professor.
• Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Outstanding work ethic.
