2026 GAYLOR ELECTRIC SUMMER INTERNSHIP PROGRAM – COLLEGE STUDENTS

At Gaylor Electric, we believe in fostering meaningful career growth, whether you’re a current student, recent graduate, or even a seasoned professional exploring new paths. Our internship program is designed to provide access to industry-leading technical skill development alongside world-class, career-related professionalism training. Over the past three years, we’ve proudly welcomed students from over 70 high school and collegiate institutions, with more than 200 students participating in our summer program.

Interns are placed across the country at national Gaylor Electric locations and job sites, becoming valued members of our culture and learning what it means to hold a high-value, high-opportunity position in the trades.

What You’ll Experience & Develop:

  • Comprehensive Professional Development: Sprinkled throughout the summer, students have access to resume development workshops, interview preparation, business best practices discussions, and professional headshots.
  • Skill Curation: You will engage in intense curation of your professional resume, interview habits, networking skills, and professionalism approaches.
  • Culminating Project: The experience culminates with either an academic capstone presentation or a craft skills assessment.

Available Internship Roles & Fields of Study:

Gaylor Electric offers positions across a wide range of departments, allowing students to develop skills in roles related to their academic field of study:

  • Construction & Technical Roles: Field, Manufacturing, Project Management, Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Construction), BIM/VDC, Safety.
  • Corporate Roles: Accounting, Human Resources, Education, Information Technology, Marketing.

We’re looking for candidates pursuing degrees that align with these needs, including:

  • Construction Management
  • Engineering (Architectural Engineering, Electrical, Civil and Construction)
  • Occupational Health & Safety
  • Business, Finance, Marketing, Accounting or any other related college or work-related experience
  • Candidates who are excited to visit and travel to new locations and projects.
