Job Description: 2026 Creative Summer Internship – Designer

Ogilvy is seeking the next generation of creative talent – individuals who are insatiably curious, adept at connecting ideas, and possess a strong drive to “make it happen.” A passion for creation is essential, with candidates encouraged to demonstrate their unique point of view through a portfolio.

This is a Creative Craft Internship specifically for the Designer role. A separate application is available for Business & Strategy roles.

The Summer Internship Program:
This 10-week paid program, running from June to August, offers interns hands-on experience working with live client briefs and contributing to culturally impactful work. Interns will jump into current campaigns and fast-moving projects alongside award-winning creative teams, gaining wide exposure to different brands and creative leaders. The program includes dedicated mentorship to sharpen craft and provide real-world experience that enhances a professional portfolio.

What We’re Looking For (Designer):
Ogilvy is interested not just in past accomplishments but also in how you think. To be considered, your application *must• include a link to a portfolio or sample of work showcasing your creative process and unique point of view.

Ideal candidates “geek out” on design principles, philosophy, techniques, tools, and trends, and are eager to learn the latest in design, potentially having explored visual motion, 2D, 3D, and beyond. You should be logical, analytical, understand the value of design in solving human problems, and possess a unique point of view with a discerning editing eye. Conceptual thinking is required. Additionally, empathy, collaboration, and clear communication skills are highly valued.

What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Designer intern, you will be adapting to a fast-paced environment and learning new design software. Your responsibilities will include supporting the design team by designing visuals for various mediums or assisting in pulling “scrap” (reference/inspiration) for projects.

The Fine Print:

Locations: The 2026 Summer Internship Program will be offered in Ogilvy’s Chicago and New York offices.
Hybrid Model: This is a full-time (35-40 hours a week) paid internship operating in a hybrid model. Interns are expected to be in the office 3-4 days a week. You must be located within a commutable distance of your chosen office by the start of the program in June.
Eligibility: All applicants must be 18 years or older, have current and future U.S. work authorization, and submit a link to a portfolio or sample of work.
Application Deadline: January 5, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. ET.
Pay Range: $20—$25 USD. Compensation varies based on job-related factors including location, business needs, level of responsibility, experience, and qualifications.
