This role is for the 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship – Early Careers at Wells Fargo. It is a structured, 10-week program designed for undergraduate students.

Program Overview:
The internship aims to provide participants with a fundamental understanding of Commercial Banking and potential career paths within the field through hands-on experience. Interns will be embedded within an experienced team in one of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking businesses, gaining exposure to the company’s operations, business strategies, and culture.

Focus on Your Development:
The program is intensely focused on intern development, preparing individuals for their next career steps. Key components include:
Induction Week: A week-long onboarding and training session with interns from across Wells Fargo, providing an early start, networking opportunities with peers and leaders, and insights into Wells Fargo’s corporate and credit culture.
On-the-job experience: Interns will have meaningful and in-depth experiences, actively participating in a high-performing team’s day-to-day activities. This helps in building analytical skills and a basic understanding of key processes.
Professional support: Interns are paired with high-performing employees who serve as resources and coaches, offering guidance, help with challenging situations, and feedback throughout the summer.
A virtual speaker series: Top Wells Fargo leaders provide insights into maximizing the summer experience and discuss trends in the financial services industry.
Organized networking activities: Opportunities are provided for community involvement and networking with peers and employees across Wells Fargo.

In This Role You Will (Responsibilities):
• Participate in formal internship program activities, workshops, and various initiatives.
• Complete numerous assignments to become familiar with policies and procedures related to low-to-medium complex tasks and deliverables.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs and identify optimal Wells Fargo products and services.
• Partner with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters to support real-time business efforts that drive client outcomes.
• Receive direction from a manager while exercising independent judgment, developing knowledge of compliance and risk management requirements.
• Prioritize work, apply attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.

Program Duration:
The program runs for 10 weeks, typically from June to August 2026 (exact dates are TBD and subject to change).

Office Location & Placement:
Offers are made for a specific office location based on candidate preference and business needs. Interns will be notified of their specific Commercial Banking business placement prior to the program start.

Ideal Candidates for this Role Must Have (Required Qualifications, US):
• 6+ months of work experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of work experience, training, military experience, or education.
• Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills.
• Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.

Desired Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors are welcome.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities (volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad program(s), leadership position(s), non-profit involvement).
• Proven ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a collaborative, change-driven atmosphere.
• Demonstrated knowledge, interest, and/or experience in finance, accounting, and sales.

Pay Range (Hourly):
• Atlanta, GA: $36.06/hr
• Boston, MA: $43.27/hr

• Phoenix, AZ: $36.06/hr
