About this role: 2026 Commercial Banking Summer Internship – Early Careers (Wells Fargo)
This is an early careers summer internship program at Wells Fargo, specifically within their Commercial Banking division.
Program Overview:
Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking division provides market-leading solutions, industry expertise, and insights to support clients’ growth and success and enhance communities. The summer internship is a structured 10-week program designed for undergraduate students. Its primary goal is to provide interns with a basic understanding of Commercial Banking and potential career paths within the field through hands-on experience. Interns will work with experienced teams in one of Wells Fargo’s Commercial Banking businesses, gaining exposure to the company’s operations, business strategies, and culture.
The program focuses heavily on intern development, aiming to prepare participants for their next career steps. Interns will gain insight into Wells Fargo’s corporate and credit culture, benefit from professional development, acquire new skills, engage in community involvement, expand their professional network, and receive analytical training specific to the line of business.
Key components of the program include:
• Induction Week: A week-long onboarding and training session that brings together interns from across Wells Fargo, offering a jump start to the experience and networking opportunities.
• On-the-job experience: Interns will have meaningful, in-depth experiences working as part of a high-performing team. Active participation in daily activities helps interns build analytical skills and a fundamental understanding of key processes.
• Professional support: Interns will be partnered with high-performing employees who serve as resources and coaches, providing answers, guidance through challenges, and feedback throughout the summer.
• A virtual speaker series: Top leaders at Wells Fargo will offer insights on maximizing the summer experience and discuss trends in the financial services industry.
• Organized networking activities: Opportunities for community involvement and networking with peers and employees across Wells Fargo.
In this role you will:
• Participate in formal internship program activities, workshops, and various initiatives.
• Complete numerous assignments to familiarize yourself with policies and procedures, handling low-to-medium complex tasks and deliverables.
• Conduct research and financial analysis to assess client needs and identify optimal Wells Fargo products and services.
• Partner with relationship managers, product specialists, and credit underwriters to support real-time business efforts that drive client outcomes.
• Receive direction from a manager and exercise independent judgment while developing knowledge of compliance and risk management requirements.
• Prioritize work, apply attention to detail, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work effectively under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
Program Duration:
The internship is 10 weeks long, scheduled from June to August 2026 (exact dates are TBD and subject to change).

• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree with an expected graduation date between December 2026 or May/June 2027. All majors are welcome.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
• Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills.
• Involvement in extracurricular enrichment activities such as volunteerism, student organization involvement, study abroad programs, leadership positions, or non-profit involvement.

The general base pay range offered for this position is $18.00 – $65.00, with actual pay varying based on factors like achievements, skills, experience, or work location. This range is one component of the compensation package.
