Job Description: 2025 Summer Internships

BAE Systems is seeking candidates for summer 2025 internships supporting all aspects of the engineering development and manufacturing lifecycle. Interns will contribute to projects involving complex electronic and mechanical systems.

Roles and Responsibilities: Internship responsibilities may include:

• Providing engineering support for the design, development, and selection of hardware or software components using fundamental engineering principles.
• Gaining proficiency in company tools and software.
• Performing analyses and compiling data for review by senior engineers.
• Assisting in the design, fabrication, or testing of prototype hardware or software.
• Documenting results for senior engineering review.
• Supporting assemblers, technicians, and inspectors with manufacturing issues on new and existing products.
• Participating in and documenting corrective action requests using a 9-Step problem-solving methodology.
• Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications:

• Current enrollment in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
• U.S. citizenship or permanent residency.

• A self-motivated individual with leadership skills and teamwork abilities.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, judgment, and analytical capabilities.
• Ability to complete tasks efficiently.
• Strong technical writing and verbal communication skills.

Pay Information:

Full-Time Salary Range: $44,200 – $59,700 (Note: This range is a guideline; individual salaries depend on various factors including market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications.) Temporary employees generally do not receive full benefits but may be eligible for 401(k), medical benefits (for those working 20+ hours/week), the employee assistance program, and business travel accident insurance.
