Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship (Pipeline Requisition)

HP is seeking highly motivated students for its 2025 Summer Internship program. This is a pipeline requisition to accumulate candidates; qualified applicants will be contacted when approved positions are available. The internship is designed to provide a pathway to a full-time role *pending performance evaluation and available headcount*. Crucially, this full-time position will not offer work authorization sponsorship. Applicants must be eligible to work in the US and not require future sponsorship (no CPT or OPT support).

This 12-week paid internship offers a blend of real-world application of classroom learning, networking opportunities, executive speaker events, community involvement, and challenging projects. The internship program focuses on three key areas within HP’s Personal Systems division:

Advancing Leadership in Computing: Developing laptops, desktops, business PCs, gaming PCs, Chromebooks, education-specific PCs, creator-specific PCs, and workstations. The pandemic highlighted the essential nature of PCs.

Creating Leadership in Peripherals: Developing monitors, docks, webcams, keyboards, and mice. HP emphasizes the importance of peripherals in creating immersive user experiences, noting their higher refresh rate compared to notebooks. This includes their acquisitions of HyperX (high-quality gaming gear) and Poly (4K video conferencing solutions).

Expanding Digital Services: Addressing the growing need for digital services in a hybrid work environment. Leveraging HP’s position in PCs and printing, the company helps IT manage remote workforce challenges (onboarding, productivity, remote computing) through acquisitions like Teradici. The overarching goal is to deliver new digital experiences across the PC, peripherals, and services ecosystem, leading in hybrid work and gaming.

Requirements:

• Completion of the 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree or the 1st year of a Master’s/MBA program. Typically, a non-technical degree specialization is preferred.
• Full-time enrollment at an accredited university.
• Ability to obtain work authorization in the United States in 2026 without requiring future sponsorship.

Preferred Majors/Programs: Business Administration, Business Strategy, Marketing, Product Management

Preferred Knowledge and Skills:

• Project experience showcasing strong analytical, modeling, and research skills.
• Demonstrated coursework in business, economics, finance, or marketing.
• Strong executive-level presentation skills (storyboarding, development, and delivery).
• Proven success in delivering results within cross-functional teams.
• Ability to navigate ambiguity and unstructured work environments.
• Teamwork skills, including supporting colleagues and leading executives/peers through logical reasoning and relationship building.
• Strong public speaking and workshop/conversation facilitation skills.
• Ability to shape and influence the ideas and actions of others.
• Working knowledge of MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.

The internship offers a compensation range of $23 to $32 per hour (US candidates only), with variations based on location, skills, and experience. A comprehensive benefits package is included for interns working at least 20 hours per week.
