Job Description: 2025 Summer Internship (Pipeline Requisition)
HP is seeking highly motivated students for its 2025 Summer Internship program. This is a pipeline requisition; qualified applicants will be contacted when approved positions become available. The internship is designed to transition into a full-time role *pending performance and available headcount*, but will not offer work authorization sponsorship in the future. Candidates must be currently eligible to work in the US and not require future sponsorship. HP will not sponsor CPT or OPT. The Program: A 12-week paid summer internship providing real-world application of classroom learning. The program balances networking opportunities, executive speaker sessions, community involvement, substantial projects, and social events.
The Team (Personal Systems): This internship focuses on HP’s Personal Systems division, structured around three key pillars:
• Advancing Leadership in Computing: Developing laptops, desktops, business PCs, gaming PCs, Chromebooks, education-specific PCs, creator-specific PCs, and workstations.
• Creating Leadership in Peripherals: Designing monitors, docks, webcams, keyboards, and mice; leveraging acquisitions like HyperX (gaming gear) and Poly (high-quality video conferencing solutions).
• Expanding Digital Services: Addressing the growing needs of hybrid workforces through services supporting remote work, productivity, and remote computing (via the Teradici acquisition). This pillar combines HP’s PC and printing capabilities.
The overarching mission is to deliver new digital experiences, aiming for leadership in hybrid work and gaming solutions.
Education and Experience Required:
• Completion of the 3rd year of a Bachelor’s degree or the 1st year of a Master’s/MBA program. Typically, a non-technical degree specialization is preferred.
• Full-time enrollment at an accredited university.
• Ability to obtain US work authorization in 2026 without future sponsorship needs.
Preferred Majors/Programs: Business Administration, Business Strategy, Marketing, Product Management.
Preferred Knowledge and Skills:
• Project experience showcasing strong analytical, modeling, and research abilities.
• Relevant coursework in business, economics, finance, or marketing.
• Strong executive-level presentation skills (storyboarding, development, and delivery).
• Proven success in cross-functional teamwork.
• Ability to manage ambiguity and unstructured situations.
• Teamwork skills, including supporting others and leading through logical reasoning and relationship building.
• Strong public speaking and workshop/conversation facilitation skills.
• Ability to influence ideas and actions.
• Proficiency in MS PowerPoint and MS Excel.
The internship offers a competitive hourly rate ($23-$32/hour for US candidates, varying by location and experience) and a comprehensive benefits package for those working at least 20 hours weekly (including health, dental, vision insurance, disability insurance, employee assistance program, flexible spending account, life insurance, and generous time off).
