Job Description: PulteGroup 2025 Summer Internship (Construction Focus):

PulteGroup offers various summer internships, including opportunities within the Construction department. These internships provide a unique chance to gain hands-on experience in the homebuilding industry and build a strong foundation for a long-term career.

Internship Program Overview:

Rotational Shadowing: Interns participate in rotational shadowing across various functions and departments to gain a holistic understanding of the homebuilding process.
Hands-on Projects: Daily work involves contributing to meaningful projects under the guidance of experienced professionals within the intern’s designated function (in this case, Construction).
Training and Development: PulteGroup invests in interns’ continued development through centralized training and development opportunities.
Capstone Presentation: The internship culminates in a capstone presentation showcasing the intern’s experience and ideas to local Division leadership.

Construction Internship Specifics:

Responsibilities: Interns will take charge of select home projects, collaborating closely with vendors, homeowners, and teammates to ensure high-quality home delivery on schedule. They will learn about building codes, materials, schedules, and construction methodologies. Collaboration with Sales, Procurement, Resource Planning, and Customer Care teams is crucial to define processes and deliver exceptional customer experiences and superior operational execution.
No Management Responsibilities: This is an entry-level internship; no management responsibilities are involved.

Requirements:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; Must be at least 18 years old; Authorization to work in the United States; Currently enrolled as an undergraduate or graduate student (or graduated in the semester preceding the internship); Minimum sophomore status preferred; Minimum 2.5 GPA preferred. Suitable for students pursuing degrees in Business Administration, Finance, Construction Management, Engineering, Project Management, Marketing, Communication, Finance, Architecture, or similar fields.
Skills and Qualities: Curious, coachable, personable, patient, action-oriented, accountable, motivated, enthusiastic, professional communication skills (written and verbal), tech-savvy (especially Excel and Microsoft Teams), strong organizational skills, self-motivation, learning agility, bias for action, strong interest in homebuilding, real estate, and/or construction. Extracurricular involvement is a plus.

Internship Details:

Dates: May 19, 2025 – August 8, 2025 (12 weeks); schedule may be adjusted.
Hours: 40 hours per week; schedule depends on the position.
Compensation: $20/hour (pay may vary by position and location).
Benefits: Eligibility for the company’s 401(k) plan.
Format: Primarily in-person at one of 29 Division Offices or in development communities.
