Job Description: 2025 Summer Intern – PepsiCo Procurement
Location: Plano, TX or Purchase, NY
Duration: Approximately 10 weeks during summer months
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute sourcing strategies that optimize cost, supply assurance, and sustainability practices.
• Collaborate with various teams including R&D, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Manufacturing.
• Gain expertise in procurement fundamentals and categories.
• Develop functional knowledge in cost management, responsible and ethical sourcing, etc.
• Gather and analyze data to provide insightful recommendations.
• Participate in cross-functional projects with global teams.
Project Focus:
• Each intern will work on a real-world project, tackling a critical business problem.
• Examples of past projects:
• Assessing vertical integration versus external manufacturing for specific products.
• Developing sustainable sourcing strategies for ingredients.
• Optimizing supplier greenhouse gas reduction efforts.
• Analyzing different sourcing strategies and their optimal applications.
Internship Experience:
• Independent problem-solving and decision-making with support from managers.
• Exposure to senior leadership and the global PepsiCo organization.
• Networking opportunities with other PepsiCo interns.
• A calendar packed with fun events.
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Agribusiness, or Agronomy (other related majors may be considered).
• Highly motivated self-starter with a strong analytical mindset.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and influence skills.
• Proven leadership abilities in academic or professional settings.
• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in an unstructured environment.
• Experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, operations, supply chain, or consulting is preferred.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Must have indefinite right to work in the United States.
• Graduation with a Bachelor’s degree in either December 2025 or May 2026.
Compensation and Benefits:
• Expected hourly pay range: $21.50 – $40.19/hour (depending on role, degree, and location).
