Job Description: 2025 Canon Insights Summer Internship – Corporate Social Responsibility Intern
This is a paid, 10-week summer internship (June 2, 2025 – August 6, 2025) based in Melville, New York. The internship offers a hybrid work schedule (3 days in the office, 2 days remote, unless otherwise required) on a full-time (9 AM – 5 PM), 35-hour work week.
What You’ll Do:
The internship provides hands-on experience through significant work projects contributing to Canon’s business goals. It includes exposure to world-class teams and business initiatives through training, meetings, presentations, and other planned activities. The intern will develop marketable skills and knowledge for transitioning into the workforce. Specific projects for the Corporate Social Responsibility Intern include:
• Creating a competitive Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Program analysis comparing Canon’s programs to competitors.
• Attending a remote Environmental Management Audit.
• Participating in industry calls regarding environmental regulations (e-waste, plastic packaging, chemicals, etc.).
• Meeting with members of Corporate Planning.
• Gaining experience in creating executive reports, planning corporate events, and budget control.
• Learning about the impact of the economy and politics on Canon’s business.
Who You Are (Qualifications):
• Current student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree by Summer 2025 in a related major (Communications, Corporate Social Responsibility, Environment & Sustainability, or Marketing preferred).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work independently and as a team player.
