Job Description: 2025 AuctaneU Summer Internship Program (Product Department)
This is a paid, hybrid internship in Austin, TX, running from June 3rd to August 7th, 2025 (40 hours/week, except the week of July 4th). The position will be hybrid, working remotely on Mondays and Fridays and in the office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays.
Responsibilities:
• Support Design System Implementation: The intern will assist design and engineering teams in implementing Auctane’s design system. This includes working with the design system lead to understand standards, building new components, documenting the system in ZeroHeight, and conducting user research to identify opportunities for improvement and collaboration.
• Cross-Brand Consistency: The intern will identify areas for improvement and inconsistencies across different Auctane brands.
• ShipStation Support: The intern will support the ShipStation team’s adoption and transition to the new design system, helping to create an adoption roadmap with the product design lead.
• Research & Interviews: The role involves conducting user interviews to better understand user needs and inform design decisions.
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in Figma.
• Basic understanding of design systems and best practices.
• A curious and collaborative attitude.
• Located in or near Austin, Texas.
• Experience conducting research and interviews.
• Strong visual design skills.
