Job Description: 2025 – Academy Soccer Science Intern

This internship position at FC Dallas offers an individual the opportunity to gain valuable experience with a professional sports organization, contributing to their future career in the sports and entertainment industry.

Compensation:
Pay is $8.00 per hour – Non-Negotiable.

Flexible hours can be accommodated to align with the intern’s school or work schedule.
Some nights, weekends, and holidays will be required based on the match schedule.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities):

The intern will assist the FC Dallas Performance staff with daily duties, primarily focused on soccer science and performance support.

Pre-training:
• Communicate with physical performance staff regarding daily field setup requirements.
• Coordinate GPS units for all players, ensuring they are ready for use.
During Training:
• Provide assistance to performance staff directly on the field as needed, relating to GPS data collection, Strength & Conditioning activities, or other relevant tasks.
Post-training:
• Organize and manage all equipment used during training sessions.
• Download data from GPS units, export the data, and communicate findings or raw data to the performance staff.
• Create a daily training report and update the Daily Training Log, which includes tracking player attendance.
• Ensure all GPS units are fully charged and prepared for the following day’s activities.
• Connect with staff members for an end-of-day recap and to assist with planning for the next day’s activities.
• Perform all other duties as assigned by the performance staff.

• Capable of taking initiative and maintaining a high level of professionalism within a demanding professional sports environment.
Deadline-driven and able to perform effectively under pressure while managing multiple projects simultaneously.
• Required to work a flexible schedule that includes some nights, weekends, and holidays, aligning with the team’s match schedule.

Qualifications:

Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential.
• Must possess a valid Driver License and maintain a clean driving record.
Access to your own vehicle is required for the role.
Bilingual (Spanish) is preferred, indicating a potential advantage for candidates with this skill.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Major League Soccer and FC Dallas specifically.
