Nando’s first opened its doors in Johannesburg, South Africa, in 1987, introducing the world to its unique PERi-PERi chicken. Our signature offering is renowned for being marinated for 24 hours, flame-grilled to perfection, and basted to each customer’s preferred flavor and spice, celebrating the rich heritage of the spicy Bird’s Eye chili pepper.

From its humble beginnings, Nando’s has expanded its vibrant flame to 23 countries across five continents. Our U.S. journey began in Washington, DC in 2008, and we now proudly operate 42 restaurants across the Washington, Baltimore, and Chicago metropolitan areas.
