Chartered in 1933 as Minnesota’s first health plan, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Minnesota is a taxable nonprofit organization dedicated to making a healthy difference in people’s lives. For over 90 years, we have promoted wider, more economical, and timely availability of health services for the people of Minnesota. We operate as a nonprofit independent licensee of the Blue Cross and Blue Shield Association.
