Job Description

This is an internship position within GE Vernova’s Grid Solutions, specifically in the digital Center of Excellence (COE) team in Casablanca. The intern will contribute to the development of technical solutions for projects focused on new low-carbon switching equipment. The role is centered around the development of new digital solutions for monitoring high-voltage equipment, including circuit breakers, disconnectors, and power transformers.

The proposed internship topics include:
• Developing a simulator for insulating gas monitoring in high-voltage switching devices (circuit breakers/disconnectors).
• Developing an application for analyzing and filtering transient current/voltage regimes during high-voltage circuit breaker operations, as part of the CSD 100 (Controlled Switching Devices) project.
• Developing a simulator for concentrations of various dissolved gases in insulating oil of power transformers.

During the initial period of the internship, the intern(s) will receive training on the high-voltage equipment environment, Human-Machine Interfaces (HMI), and Intelligent Electronic Devices (IEDs). The intern may also be required to contribute to other related ancillary projects and potentially perform programming tasks on IEDs relevant to their internship subject.
