Job Description:
The role is for an IT Automation Intern within Panasonic North America. This internship is designed for individuals to be embedded on a team within the core division, providing support for daily activities and technical assistance for data aggregation, reporting, and automation.
Key Responsibilities:
The intern will primarily focus on automating current manual tasks and supporting other automation professionals. Specific responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with leadership and team members to automate manual tasks.
• Creating and updating automation scripts and frameworks.
• Conducting annual/biannual audits of user lists.
• Maintaining an organized list of bots, scheduled run-times, and owners.
• Creating requests in the ServiceNow system for production publishing (e.g., UiPath system access, shared drive access).
• Maintaining Server Requirements documentation.
• Keeping the price list for automation processes updated.
• Maintaining documents related to changes in policies, user guides, SOPs, and FAQs.
• Reviewing RPA (Robotic Process Automation) demands and projects, escalating any past-due items.
• Monitoring tasks and support tickets assigned to the RPA team, seeking status updates if no activity is observed within one week.
• Maintaining demands, projects, tasks, and templates within the ServiceNow system.
• Maintaining the opportunity list.
• Performing UiPath software maintenance on production servers, including checking for and installing updates while adhering to the IT change management process.
• Migrating old files from IBM Blueworks to Microsoft Teams.
• Organizing and managing Microsoft Teams sites to ensure logical structure and consistent file naming conventions (e.g., PDD, SDD).
• Learning basic intelligent automation tasks in UiPath.
• Assisting in the development and implementation of IT projects.
• Collaborating with team members to identify and implement innovative solutions.
• Participating actively in team meetings and contributing to project discussions.
• Assisting with Brainstorm software learning platform content management.
• Helping with Microsoft Viva Engage content and announcements.
• Maintaining content within Microsoft Teams and SharePoint.
• Reviewing “what’s new” in Microsoft Teams Public Preview & Targeted Release for relevant content.
Required Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Basic knowledge of intelligent automation tools.
• Basic understanding of IT principles and practices.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to effectively communicate both written and verbally with all levels of business unit and PNA IT Management.
• Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Familiarity with Microsoft Teams and ServiceNow is considered a plus.
