About the Job: Intern – Digital Marketing & Events Support
Position Summary
This internship position is within Balchem’s Human Nutrition & Health Business, which focuses on delivering innovative solutions in the food, beverage, and nutrition sectors. The role is designed to support the marketing team’s crucial efforts in brand shaping, audience engagement, and growth initiatives.
The ideal candidate will primarily reside out of the Layton, UT office, though the company is open to a remote employee.
The intern will be instrumental in supporting digital marketing efforts, with a particular emphasis on analytics and reporting. Concurrently, the role involves significant assistance with event and trade show organization, offering a unique and balanced experience across both digital and offline marketing domains.
Essential Functions (Key Responsibilities)
• Support Digital Marketing & Analytics: Assist in the analysis of marketing data, generate reports, and contribute to the optimization of various marketing initiatives.
• Event & Trade Show Organization: Manage specific organizational sub-projects related to the planning and execution of trade shows and other marketing events.
• Pre- & Post-Show Marketing Communication: Provide support in creating diverse content, including blogs, e-blasts, and social media posts, specifically tailored for promotion before and after trade shows and events.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely and effectively with different internal teams, particularly those involved in digital marketing and event coordination, to ensure seamless project execution.
• Administrative & Organizational Support: Assist with general marketing operations, contributing to the smooth and efficient execution of various projects and initiatives.
Requirements
Education:
• Currently enrolled as a junior in an accredited university.
• Alternatively, recently completed a BA/BS in Marketing, Communications, or Business.
Technical Skills:
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel and PowerPoint.
• Essential experience with Google Analytics and Google Looker Studio.
• Knowledge of Power BI is a plus.
• Required familiarity with Microsoft Teams and Outlook.
Experience:
• Previous internship or work experience in marketing or event organization is a plus.
Abilities & Traits:
• Comfortable working with existing reporting templates.
• Capable of supporting marketing operations in both digital and event-related contexts.
• Ability to assist in creating pre- and post-show marketing communication through blogs, e-blasts, and social media content.
• Willingness to collaborate closely with cross-functional teams in digital marketing and event coordination.
