Job Description: Sourcing and Due Diligence Intern (Fall 2025)

This internship opportunity for Fall 2025 is specifically designed for students from the University of California, Irvine, and Chapman University. The role focuses heavily on the initial stages of private equity investments: sourcing and due diligence.

Role Overview:
As a Sourcing and Due Diligence Intern, you will be crucial in identifying and evaluating potential acquisition targets for Allied Legacy Partners. Your primary responsibilities will include conducting research and analysis of businesses, supporting the underwriting process, and collaborating with the ALP team to contribute to the firm’s growth and investment strategy.

Responsibilities:
• Conduct extensive research and analysis to pinpoint prospective businesses that align with Allied Legacy Partners’ acquisition strategy.
• Assist in the evaluation and underwriting of potential acquisition opportunities by analyzing financial data, market trends, and competitive landscapes.
• Work collaboratively with team members to prepare detailed reports and presentations essential for internal review and decision-making processes.
• Actively participate in due diligence processes, which involves data gathering, validation, and coordination of critical information.
• Contribute to the development of investment theses and offer innovative insights to enhance the firm’s acquisition strategy.
• Maintain accurate records and comprehensive documentation throughout both the sourcing and due diligence phases of potential investments.

Qualifications:
Academic Affiliation: Must be a current student at either UC Irvine or Chapman University.
Work Ethic: Possess excellent attention to detail and demonstrated ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel for data analysis and PowerPoint for presentations.
Communication: Effective communication and strong interpersonal skills are required to collaborate with diverse team members.
Analytical Aptitude: Strong analytical skills and a natural aptitude for financial and business analysis.
Interest: A demonstrated interest in private equity, business development, and a genuine curiosity for the legacy-driven business landscape.
