Job Description
This role offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience within a specific field of study at a non-profit center in Northeast Texas. It provides exposure to various facets of service delivery and administrative operations, contributing directly to the Center’s mission.
Job Scope & Responsibilities:
• Acquire practical experience aligned with a chosen field of study.
• Gain exposure to the diverse aspects of service delivery and administrative functions of a non-profit center.
• Actively assist in relevant projects.
• Engage in shadowing and training opportunities with experienced professionals.
• Contribute to the delivery of services under professional supervision.
• Represent the Center in a professional manner.
• Work towards making a tangible impact on communities and individuals in Northeast Texas.
Training & Development:
• Receive on-the-job training tailored to professional positions available within the Center.
• Operate under the guidance and supervision of experienced staff.
Required Qualifications:
Education & Licensure:
• Must be currently or previously enrolled for 6 or more hours, or enrolled in an internship course, at an eligible Texas college or university.
• Must be completing the final 1-2 semesters of a Bachelor’s program in one of the following areas:
• Psychology
• Social Work
• Sociology
• Early Childhood Education
• Human Development and Family Studies
• Accounting
• Mathematics
• Human Resources
• Information Technology
• Marketing
• Communications
• Must reside in the state of Texas.
• Must meet one or more of the following financial circumstances:
• Have completed a FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) or TASFA (Texas Application for State Financial Aid) for one of the academic periods within the last 2 years.
• Have an Expected Family Contribution (EFC) or Student Aid Index (SAI) of $0-$20,000.
• Be eligible for a Pell grant.
• Be eligible for a Texas Educational Opportunity Grant (TEOG).
• Be eligible to be funded through the Texas Leadership Scholars Program.
• Must complete the Student Eligibility Form with TXWORKS and obtain a letter of eligibility to be submitted with the application.
• Possess a current, valid driver’s license in the state of residence with a driving record that meets the standards of the liability insurer for CHC.
Experience & Knowledge:
• Demonstrate knowledge equivalent to upper-level undergraduate courses in the relevant field of study.
• Possess advanced communication and writing skills.
• Exhibit entry-level technology skills and the ability to work within a variety of electronic programs.
Physical Requirements & Work Environment:
• Willingness to travel as required by the position.
• Must be mobile and able to sit, stand, bend, and reach during the workday.
Compensation:
• Minimum Hourly Salary: $15.00
