Job Description
About the company:
The Advancing a Healthier Wisconsin Endowment (AHW Endowment) was established in 2004 by the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW). Its origin stems from a generous gift of charitable funds received from the conversion of Blue Cross Blue Shield of Wisconsin (BCBSWI) from a non-profit to a for-profit entity. The proceeds of this sale were gifted to Wisconsin’s two medical schools, MCW and the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health, on behalf of the people of Wisconsin.
AHW proudly operates from within the MCW School of Medicine, which is the third largest private medical school in the nation and part of Wisconsin’s largest private research institution. This strategic placement allows AHW to effectively steward this gift, leveraging the combined power of philanthropy and academic medicine. The endowment’s core mission is to serve as a catalyst for positive change statewide, aiming to improve health outcomes across Wisconsin. More information about AHW Endowment and its work can be found at www.ahwendowment.org.
