DCS Corporation is a company that provides support to an Army customer within a fast-paced program office. They are seeking a summer intern to work directly with this customer, offering exposure to the operations of an Army program business office and insight into government planning, programming, and budget execution.

This is a Summer Intern position, specifically for a junior business program/management analyst. The role is designed for individuals currently studying finance, accounting, or business, providing a hands-on learning opportunity within an Army program office.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Program Management: Serve as a junior analyst assisting in the planning, development, coordination, defense, and execution of all aspects of program funding for the Program Manager (PM).
Budget Preparation: Assist with preparing budget estimates, ensuring compliance with policies, rules, regulations, and procedures provided by higher headquarters.
Program Planning & Development: Support the development of comprehensive program plans and controls for new or future programs, including the creation of phased milestone schedules from development/purchase through fielding. This also involves assisting with the preparation, presentation, and defense of budget submissions.
Funding Execution: Aid in the practical execution of funding by utilizing enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools such as the General Fund Enterprise Business System (GFEBS) and Logistics Modernization Program (LMP) to generate purchase requests and requisitions.
Strategic Planning Support: Assist in various strategic and administrative tasks, including preparing manpower data requirements, contributing to Program Objective Memorandum (POM) builds, facilitating Annual Program Resource Validation (APRV) development, supporting the Strategic Portfolio Analysis Review (SPAR), and reviewing program acquisition documents for accuracy and consistency of data content.

Required Skills:

Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship is mandatory due to the sensitive nature of customer-related requirements.
Education: Must be actively pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field, with a minimum of 1-2 years of college coursework completed.
Security Clearance: Ability to obtain a DOD Secret clearance is a prerequisite for this role.
Technical Proficiency: Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, with a particular emphasis on strong skills in Microsoft Excel.
Communication & Organization: Possess strong written, oral, and organizational skills to effectively communicate and manage tasks in a fast-paced environment.
