Job Description: Intern-Clinical Psych
Department: UHC: Psychiatry – 2nd Level Providers
Job Summary:
The Intern-Clinical Psych works under the direct supervision of a licensed clinical psychologist. The primary responsibilities involve providing assistance to patients and their families through various forms of support, including counseling, psychotherapy, and psychological evaluations. The role also encompasses performing other duties as needed.
Education and Experience:
• Education: A Master’s Degree in clinical psychology is required.
• Experience: No prior experience is required for this intern position.
Knowledge and Skills:
The position demands a diverse set of abilities, including:
• Literacy and Communication:
• Ability to read and write legibly.
• Ability to speak in English with professional quality; Spanish is preferred.
• Ability to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others.

• Proficiency in using computer and software programs necessary for the position.
• Ability to troubleshoot and calibrate patient care equipment.

• Ability to discern temperature variances through touch.
Licensures and Certifications:
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) is required.
