This is a Health and Wellness Promotion, Marketing, Communications, and Event Planning Internship with Aramark, specifically supporting Hornet Hospitality on campus.

Role Overview: This is a hands-on, part-time internship designed to provide valuable professional experience on campus. The intern will work closely with the Nutrition Manager (Registered Dietitian) and the Hornet Hospitality intern team. The primary focus is to support health and wellness events, social media initiatives, sustainability projects, and general marketing functions for Hornet Hospitality.
Compensation: The position offers an hourly rate of $16.50.

Key Responsibilities:
• Assist the Nutrition Manager in developing and executing health and wellness programs on campus.
• Create various health and wellness marketing materials, including social media posts, videos, flyers, educational content, and handouts.
• Organize and host health and wellness events, such as tabling sessions, cooking classes, and other promotional activities.
• Engage directly with students to provide peer-to-peer nutrition education.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nutrition Manager.
Work Schedule: This is a part-time position, requiring availability to work 10-20 hours per week. The schedule is flexible around class hours and business needs, with a preference for availability during lunch (10:30 AM – 2:00 PM) and dinner (4:00 PM – 6:30 PM) times.
Qualifications:
Education: Must be a current or incoming Sac State undergraduate or graduate student, with a preference for juniors, seniors, or graduate students. Food, nutrition, dietetics, or other relevant majors are preferred.
Knowledge & Skills:
• Knowledgeable in nutrition topics with the ability to gather and present evidence-based nutrition information.
• Familiarity with social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook).
• Experience with content creation platforms (e.g., Canva, Adobe, etc.) is preferred.
• Experience in photography and video editing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong creative and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a positive attitude.
