Job Description: Field Marketing Intern (Proofpoint)
This role is for a Field Marketing Intern to join Proofpoint’s North America Field Marketing team, which is responsible for developing and executing regional marketing strategies aimed at driving pipeline growth and strengthening customer loyalty.
Role Overview:
As a Field Marketing Intern, you will play a crucial supporting role within the team, which executes a variety of multi-faceted programs. These programs include:
• In-person and virtual events
• Webinars
• Executive conferences and roundtables
• Industry events
• Networking events
• Direct mail campaigns
• Appointment-setting campaigns
The Field Marketing team’s primary objectives are to drive demand, generate a significant sales pipeline, and foster customer loyalty. They actively support the area sales team by ensuring they benefit from global marketing programs and by executing targeted regional initiatives. A key responsibility for the intern will be to serve as the team’s Marketo liaison, which involves building and automating event campaigns, and collaborating closely with vendors to design, optimize, and execute these campaigns effectively.
Job Requirements (Skills & Qualities):
The ideal candidate is an aspiring marketing professional with a strong passion for B2B and field marketing. Key requirements include:
• Being results-driven and thriving in a fast-paced environment.
• Possessing strong project management skills.
• Being detail-oriented, with the ability to meet deadlines efficiently while maintaining high standards of execution.
• The capability to work well under pressure and manage multiple priorities independently.
• Strong communication skills.
• A strong preference for working in a collaborative environment with team goals.
• Graphic design skills and proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (especially Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign) are considered a valuable plus.
Candidate Profile:
• Ability and interest in working remote part-time, with a maximum of 30 hours per week.
• Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree.
• Successfully maintaining an above average GPA, preferably 3.0 or higher.
• The internship is scheduled to start immediately.
