Job Description
Delta Air Lines is seeking Undergraduate Interns for its Commercial Strategy Analyst (CSA) Program Internship. This is a paid Summer 2026 internship designed to accelerate the professional development of high-potential analysts. The program aims to deepen interns’ understanding of Delta’s business operations, expand their skill sets, and provide opportunities to cultivate leadership capabilities. Interns who successfully complete the program may be offered a full-time position upon graduation, contingent on their performance during the internship.
Employment Opportunities For The Commercial Strategy Intern Include:
• Revenue Management: Interns will support the analysis of competitors’ pricing actions, initiate strategic pricing adjustments and promotions to maintain market share, and develop processes to streamline pricing execution. They will also assist in short-term initiatives focused on maximizing revenue through analyses of passenger demand.
• Network Planning: Responsibilities include developing optimal route structures, analyzing opportunities for new cities and routes, and determining appropriate capacity responses to competitive actions. The goal is to maximize profitability by strategically deploying aircraft to align capacity with demand.
• Customer Engagement, Loyalty and Marketing: This role involves developing promotion and channel strategies to drive incremental passenger revenue, enhance customer loyalty, and strengthen the Delta brand. Interns will also contribute to designing improvements for Delta’s customer communications, loyalty program, and developing more effective customer segmentation strategies.
• E-Commerce/Distribution: Interns will work to maintain the competitiveness of delta.com and its self-service functionalities, develop online marketing strategies, and identify new revenue streams through non-air partnerships for delta.com. They will also manage relationships with global distribution systems and third-party online travel agencies, leveraging new technologies to reduce distribution costs.
• Sales Analysis: This area focuses on analyzing the financial contribution of incentive programs established with corporations and distributors. Interns will also be involved in developing new sales strategies designed to generate incremental sales.
• Reservations Sales Analysis: Interns will analyze performance efforts within Reservations Sales to determine strategies that can improve customer service, enhance employee engagement, maximize cost efficiencies, and ultimately drive increased customer revenue and loyalty.
Minimum Qualifications (What You Need To Succeed):
• Academic Standing: Must be a rising senior in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of Spring/Summer 2027.
• Enrollment: Must be enrolled as a full-time student pursuing an undergraduate degree in a 4-year academic institution. Candidates who have already graduated and are employed full-time will not be considered.
• GPA: A minimum 3.0 GPA on a 4-point scale is required.
• Work Commitment: This position requires the student to work full-time during the Summer 2026 semester. Students cannot actively take any courses (including online or in-person) while working as a Co-op/Intern simultaneously, as this may lead to a delay in graduation by 1-2 semesters.
• Location: Must be able to work onsite in Delta’s Atlanta, GA office for the entire duration of the Co-op.
• Future Employment: It is important to note that working as a Co-op/Intern does not guarantee a full-time opportunity at Delta Air Lines upon graduation. This position is primarily intended to provide educational and professional work experience to prepare the student for the workforce.
