Title: Communications Intern

Location: Houston, Texas. The intern will work in the KBR office in downtown Houston.

Duration: Summer 2025 intern session.

Work Schedule: The intern will work a total of 3 days per week. This includes working in the KBR office on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with an additional day worked remotely.

Program Overview: KBR’s intern program aims to offer comprehensive exposure to its Mission Technology business. The communications intern will participate in weekly rotations with communications and marketing professionals across all business units. Furthermore, the intern will collaborate on special projects with the marketing intern.

Responsibilities:
• Conducting communications research and coordination.
• Providing support to creative and communications teams in the planning and execution of various marketing deliverables. This includes digital brochures, social media content, press releases, internal communication pieces, videos, and advertisements.
• Developing content for a wide range of marketing and communications materials.
• Offering creative ideas for communications and marketing pieces and strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and brand guidelines.
• Assisting with the planning for upcoming media days.
• Writing, editing, and formatting KBR internal communications.
• Developing concepts and ideas for social media content.
• Assisting with the writing of press releases, digital brochures, and other external deliverables.

Qualifications:
• Applicants must possess strong writing and content development skills.
• Must be capable of working on multiple deliverables simultaneously.
• Ability to collaborate effectively across all business units.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Teams.
• Experience with communications/content development platforms is preferred, specifically Staffbase and Foleon.
• Prior experience in communications, marketing, or related fields, or relevant coursework in these areas.
