About the Job: Social Media & PR Internship

This internship at Brandsway Creative offers a unique opportunity for college students or recent graduates to gain in-depth experience in social media strategy and digital content creation as it pertains to the PR industry. Interns will work directly with account executives and the founder/owner, benefiting from a structure that emphasizes hands-on interaction with clients.

The ideal candidate will possess an ambitious work ethic and a strong passion for social media, branding, and digital storytelling. Brandsway seeks individuals who are eager to learn, motivated to succeed, and passionate about embarking on a successful career path in social media, communications, or public relations.

Interns will receive hands-on experience and be integrated as a member of a designated account team or department, working directly with senior members of the organization. A detailed curriculum is provided to ensure interns learn and experience a variety of aspects of public relations and social media strategy, gaining exposure to critical areas.

Key Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities Include (but are not limited to):

Social Media Management: Creating and scheduling content across various platforms (e.g., Instagram, TikTok), assisting with creative direction, photography, and video for social campaigns, and monitoring social media trends and influencer activity.
PR & Media Relations: Conducting media outreach, staffing and attending media events (such as satellite media tours, press conferences, and in-studio client appearances), daily press clippings, researching contact information for journalists, bloggers, influencers, and stylists, creating and editing media and influencer lists, and drafting compelling biographies of new clients.
Creative & Strategic Development: Participating in creative brainstorm sessions, learning how PR agencies integrate social media into broader brand strategy.
Client Communication: Gaining experience in pitching the media and learning how to manage client communications.
Logistical Support: Day-to-day office duties, sample trafficking, creating weekly celebrity-in-town and event lists.
