About the Job
This opportunity is for a Paralegal Intern to join GEP’s Global Contracts Team for a 6-month, full-time, paid internship. It offers a unique chance to launch a paralegal career with hands-on legal experience, structured mentorship, and exposure to global legal operations. The role operates on a hybrid model, requiring the intern to work from the Clark, NJ headquarters 3 days per week.
Key Responsibilities (What You Will Do):
• Support the team in the manual execution of global documents.
• Maintain both physical and electronic legal files.
• Assist with archiving projects.
• Audit file completeness.
• Prepare and complete corporate documents under the supervision of a paralegal.
• Contribute to various corporate legal projects.
• Handle administrative tasks, including scanning, printing, copying, and preparing mail packages.
Required Qualifications & Skills (What You Should Bring):
• Current student or recent graduate from an ABA-approved Paralegal Studies program.
• Completion of legal writing and/or contract law coursework is beneficial.
• Possession of strong attention to detail and a high degree of confidentiality.
• Must be reliable, punctual, and capable of working onsite at least 2 days per week (with potential variation based on business needs).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is required; familiarity with Outlook and Teams is a plus (training available).
• Demonstrated eagerness to learn, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage high volumes of documents with accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• A reliable home internet connection for hybrid work.
