Job Description:

Position: Marketing Strategy and Event Marketing Intern

Reporting Structure: The intern will work under the supervision of the Strategy Director and the Strategy department.

Role Overview: This position provides support to the entire portfolio of Knight Eady clients and events.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaboration and Project Management: Work with the agency services team, account managers, and event directors on strategy, marketing, and communications projects, managing timelines, creative team, and final project delivery.
Content Creation: Create and curate engaging marketing and communications content, including but not limited to press releases, blog posts, social media content, and press event materials.
Media Relations: Build and update media lists for press material distribution, distribute content, and follow up with media.
On-site Media Support: Provide media support at events, which may include assisting in press conferences, distributing in-game statistics, facilitating athlete and coach interviews, and supporting the execution of on-site media coordination.
Event Operations: Serve the media relations and broader Knight Eady team on-site at events, assisting with media operations, social media support, and other assigned duties (subject to event schedules, which may include Fall 2025 NCAA exhibition basketball games, AHSAA’s Super 7, and Space Race).
Social Media Strategy: Develop research-driven social media strategies, collaborate with internal teams for content, execute strategies, and analyze performance, including in-game social media execution at events.
Grassroots Marketing: Research, ideate, and execute grassroots marketing strategies to enhance client and event presence in local communities.
Innovation: Provide innovative and refreshed ideas for assigned accounts based on thorough research and current trends.
Quality and Workflow: Deliver high-quality work by collaborating with team members to develop new ideas, manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously while maintaining unique brand voices and tracking individual client goals.
Professional Development: Work with the Strategy Director and Strategists to acquire new skills and insights.
Communication: Keep management informed of progress and effectively escalate roadblocks when necessary.
Additional Duties: Perform other duties as assigned, including cross-departmental support on-site at events.
