Job Description:

PCG is offering a summer internship program for motivated college students. The internship provides exposure to the specialty construction industry through hands-on activities and mentorship. Interns will gain real-world experience and develop a foundation in construction management.

Key aspects of the internship:

Mentorship: Each intern is paired with a mentor who will guide them through the Performance Contracting Intern Activities Checklist.
Structured Framework: The checklist provides exposure to various disciplines within the branch’s business.
Weekly Project Recaps: Interns will document their activities, collaborations, and takeaways from each task.
Tasks Include:
• Writing detailed proposals
• Preparing bid analysis and review
• Project scheduling
• Attending pre-bid walk-throughs
• Managing project labor control, material handling, and job-cost analysis
• Managing subcontractors, materials, and equipment
• Working with owners, construction managers, architects, engineers, and contractors
• Preparing quantity take-offs
• Maintaining project documentation
• Preparing financial job cost analysis
• Administering corporate safety program
• Understanding specialized equipment utilization
• Tracking and cost value material handling
