Job Description:
This is a full-time Summer Associate position for 2L students interested in Labor & Employment law, located in Vedder Price’s Los Angeles office. The Summer Associate program is designed to give students practical experience and training that will translate into a successful career as an associate at Vedder Price. Summer Associates can expect to be integrated into the firm through substantive work assignments, observation opportunities, and training sessions.
Key Aspects:
• Practice Area Focus: The program allows students to concentrate on Labor & Employment law.
• Location: Los Angeles office.
• Eligibility: 2L students with a geographic tie to Los Angeles are preferred. Students from all law schools are welcome to apply.
• Rolling Basis: Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis, so early application is encouraged.

Applicants must submit a complete application including:
• Resume
• Unofficial First-Year Law School Transcript: (First semester grades are acceptable if second semester grades are not yet available.)
• Writing Sample: Demonstrating legal writing skills (e.g., from a first-year class or legal internship).
• Cover Letter: Expressing interest in the specific practice area (Labor & Employment) and the Los Angeles location.
Compensation:
• $225,000 annual salary.
