Job Description, Detailed
This is an Intern position at Forvis Mazars, available in assurance, tax, or a combination of both, depending on local office needs. Internships can be part-time or full-time. Generally, winter semester internships run from early-January through April 15th, and summer internships typically run from early-June through mid-August.
Key Responsibilities and Contributions:
• Completing audit testing on financial statement accounts (e.g., cash, accounts payable, fixed assets).
• Working with client personnel to reconcile account differences and analyze financial data.
• Helping to draft management letter comments and the audit report.
• Participating in client meetings alongside Forvis Mazars partners and managers.
Learning and Exposure:
• Interns will work on client engagements similar to those assigned to entry-level associates.
• Gain exposure to a variety of industries.
• Opportunity to test and apply technical know-how.
• Work alongside senior staff and management personnel, learning from their experience to develop a strong skillset.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong computer skills preferred, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.

Candidate Requirements:
• Must be currently working toward an accounting degree.
• Must be working toward CPA licensure eligibility.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from the assigned office.
• Must be able to attend off-site meetings and events in person.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States.
