Job Description

Role Title: Part Time Primary Care Provider(s)

Location(s): Westside clinics, specifically at the West Hollywood and Playa Vista clinics in Los Angeles.

Manager: LA Clinic Manager

Role Summary:
As a Part-Time Primary Care Physician at Tia in Los Angeles, the core responsibility is to deliver exceptional clinical care aligned with the unique Tia care model. This model integrates a whole-person approach to women’s healthcare. The role primarily involves providing direct patient care, acting as a central figure embodying the Tia philosophy of care. The position is part-time, with flexibility regarding weekly hours and the distribution of time between the West Hollywood and Playa Vista clinic locations.

Skills & Qualifications:
• Ability to deliver patient-centric care.
• Completed formal medical training, with a preference for candidates experienced in women’s care and an integrative practice approach.
• Must be licensed as an independent healthcare provider in the state of California (MD or DO) and be in good standing within the medical community, including hospital-affiliated systems.
• Maintains active privileges at Tia’s affiliated hospitals in the region, or other hospitals deemed appropriate by Tia.
• Familiarity with regulations and requirements for care providers.
• Ability to collaborate with and/or supervise Tia Nurse Practitioners in accordance with current state licensing and regulatory requirements.
• Willingness to serve as a collaborating physician with nurse practitioners and/or physician assistants, and maintain signed and current collaborative agreements as per state law.

Responsibilities:

Practice within the Tia Care Model:
• Embody the Tia clinical model in daily practice at the clinic.
• Actively participate in team trainings.
• Effectively integrate new elements of the Tia Care model as they are tested into the system.
• Utilize Tia technology platforms and documentation systems to optimize communication and support appropriate billing.
• Participate in “Lunch and Learn” sessions, including hosting didactic sessions on areas of personal expertise and participating in others.
• Appropriately engage, collaborate with, and/or supervise Tia nurse practitioners or physician extenders as required by current state mandates.

Ensure Excellent Patient Experience & Balance Clinical Requirements:
• See all patients requiring care, regardless of whether they are Tia members or personally acquired patients, delivering an exceptional experience to both.
• Effectively handle escalations related to patient satisfaction or clinical issues requiring advanced care.
• Effectively escalate issues at the clinic to appropriate leadership when necessary.

Reporting & Feedback:
• Report on technology performance, providing constructive feedback to the technology team to help resolve practice-impacting issues.
• Report to Tia and site clinic leadership on operational or clinical model issues.
• Report to the SVP of Medical Affairs on issues related to care quality concerns among care providers from the Los Angeles sites.

Compensation:
The full-time equivalent (40 hours/week) salary range is $230,000 – $250,000, depending on experience, plus performance-based bonuses. Part-time salary will be prorated according to this full-time range.
