About the Job: Custom Protection Officer
As a Custom Protection Officer, you will be responsible for serving and safeguarding clients across a diverse range of industries, such as Commercial Real Estate, Healthcare, Education, and Government.
Pay:
• $19.50 per hour
Responsibilities:
• Conducting walking patrols.
• Must possess an armed security license.
• Previous law enforcement or military experience is required.
• Ability to work effectively in all environmental elements.
• Work schedule is strictly overnight.
• Must be flexible and available on-call.
• Perform security patrols, both on foot or in a vehicle.
• Be vigilant for irregular or unusual conditions that could pose security concerns or safety hazards.
• Initiate emergency responses by sounding alarms or contacting the police or fire department in cases of fire or the presence of unauthorized persons.
• Provide customer service by adhering to safety and security procedures, site-specific policies, and engaging in emergency response activities when necessary.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business premises and its perimeter.
• Note that working environments and conditions may vary depending on the client site.
Minimum Requirements:
• Must be at least 21 years of age for this armed role.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, OR have 5 years of verifiable experience.
• Must possess one or more of the following qualifications:
• Service in a Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement or security (e.g., Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone.
• Graduation from a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) or verified work experience in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter fields.
• A Bachelor’s degree in law enforcement or criminal justice related studies.
• A minimum of 8 or more years of service in any military branch.
• An Associate’s degree (or 60 credits) or higher in law enforcement or criminal justice with current or prior active military service.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and a drug screen (to the extent permitted by law).
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required only for positions that involve driving.
