Job Description

Kennesaw State University’s Department of Engineering Technology (ET) is seeking applicants for a pool of open rank, part-time and limited term faculty positions for the academic year 2025-2026. These positions are on an as-needed, semester-by-semester basis. Rank is determined at the time of hiring and will be commensurate with credentials. The positions are for work to be performed in the state of Georgia.

Responsibilities:

• Teaching undergraduate courses in the mechanical engineering technology program.
• Teaching assignments will be based on earned degrees and SACSCOC Faculty Credentials Guidelines.

Required Qualifications:

• A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in mechanical engineering technology or a closely related discipline is required at the time of hire.
• OR
• A minimum of a Master’s degree, or the foreign equivalent, in a non-related discipline with 18 graduate credit hours in the teaching discipline is required at the time of hire.

Preferred Qualifications:

• An earned doctoral degree, or its foreign equivalent, in engineering or closely related field.
• Certified SolidWorks Professional Certification or better.
• Industry experience.
• Professional Engineering license.
• Significant relevant work experience.
• College-level teaching and online teaching experience.
