Job Title: Student Sustainability Engagement Intern

Department: Aramark/Clemson Home Dining Marketing

Purpose: To assist the Marketing Managers in meeting the sustainability marketing needs of Aramark/Clemson Home Dining. This role focuses on planning and promoting sustainability-oriented events and creating marketing materials for Clemson Home Dining sustainability initiatives.

Responsibilities:

• Assist Marketing Managers with coordinating and executing marketing campaigns on campus.
• Help plan and execute events, including educational tables, farmer’s markets, residential theme events, etc.
• Collaborate with graphic designer to develop and distribute signage on campus.
• Create education and outreach materials as needed
• Assist in planning for reoccurring events
• Act as a liaison between Clemson University and campus partners, students and community members.
• Adhere to Aramark safety policies and procedures including proper food safety and sanitation
• Ensure security of company assets
• Communicate effectively with students, faculty, staff and community members.
• Find opportunities to collaborate with community and campus partners.
• Attend weekly staff meetings and regular weekly project team meetings.
• Develop a basic knowledge of sustainability and environmental principles.
• Other duties and tasks as assigned by manager

Qualifications:

• Must be a current Clemson University Student
• Creative marketing skills
• Organized and efficient worker; ability to keep track of multiple projects and tasks
• Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling of up to 25 lbs.
• Candidate must demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient in MS office
• Ability to work both independently and on a team

• The role may involve physical demands such as lifting, bending, and extended walking/standing.
• Uniforms and/or Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required.
