Job Description: Part-Time Manager Opportunity

As a Part-Time Manager at Claire’s, you will play a crucial role in supporting the store’s operations and sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:
Sales and Leadership Support: Support the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager in achieving retail store targets by actively driving sales.
Store Operations: In the absence of other management, you may be responsible for opening and closing the store, ensuring it operates safely and legally during those times.
Customer Service: Deliver sales through friendly and efficient customer service, ensuring customers have a fun and enjoyable shopping experience.
Product Expertise: Demonstrate Claire’s products and assist customers with their queries using your product knowledge.
Merchandise Management: Assist with various tasks including processing store deliveries, visual merchandising, conducting stock takes, and handling markdowns and promotions.
Ear Piercing: Provide ear piercing services (full training will be provided).
Store Presentation: Ensure the store looks presentable and inviting to customers.

Qualifications and Requirements:
Education: Some high school education is required.
Experience: A minimum of 1 year of retail experience is necessary.
Skills:
• Excellent verbal/written communication and organizational skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Strong understanding of customer service importance.
• Sound understanding of mathematics and strong reading comprehension skills.
Physical Demands:
• Ability to stand during scheduled shifts.
• Ability to maneuver up to 25 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Ability to perform tasks such as bending, stooping, extended reaching, climbing ladders, and using step stools while placing merchandise and assisting customers.
• Ability to operate a Point of Sale (POS) system.

Compensation and Benefits:
Compensation Range: The compensation for this role is between $9.50 and $11.00 per hour.
Legally Mandated Wages: Claire’s ensures all positions are compensated at or above the legally mandated minimum wage for the specific location.
Final Compensation Determination: The final compensation may vary based on factors such as relevant work experience, education, certifications, skills, and geographic location.
Benefits (Part-Time Employees): Voluntary welfare plans, 401(k) match, vacation time, sick time (in required states), and paid leave. For Washington State, employees accrue 1 hour of paid sick time for every 30 hours worked.
