Job Title: Deli Clerk (Part Time)

Reports To: Deli Manager

Join the Festival Foods Team as a Part-Time Deli Clerk! In this role, you’ll be passionate about food service and enjoy providing customers with delicious meal options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. You’ll play a crucial role in food preparation and guest service in a retail grocery store environment.

What You’ll Do:

Provide Helpful Service: Greet guests, answer questions, and address concerns with professionalism and care.
Guest Assistance: Help guests locate items and answer Deli Department telephone calls professionally.
Order Fulfillment: Receive, prepare, and fulfill guest orders and special requests with attention to detail and quality.
Customer Service: Address guest concerns and resolve issues promptly.
Quality Control: Inspect, rotate, maintain proper temperatures, and replenish all deli products on display to ensure high standards.
Inventory Management: Maintain proper inventory levels in the deli storage, including containers, lids, spoons, tags, and more.
Food Safety: Maintain food safety logs and adhere to all safety standards.
Efficiency: Ensure all quality standards, including quantity expectations, are met by 10 am and 5 pm daily.
Honor Commitments: Regular, timely attendance in compliance with the work schedule.
Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

What We’re Looking For:

Customer Focus: Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with guests and all personnel.
Communication Skills: Good oral and written communication skills.
Effective Problem-Solving: Ability to quickly assess and resolve issues in a dynamic and stressful work environment, while supporting team members.
Safety Awareness: Comprehensive understanding of safety requirements and company safety policies, including proper training on slicers, lifting techniques, trash compactors, and balers.
Food Knowledge: Knowledge of the retail food business, perishable department operations, and merchandising skills, with the ability to make timely and effective decisions.

Physical Demands And Work Environment

• Lifting up to 50 pounds on an occasional basis.
• Full range of upper body motion.
• Ability to work at a fast pace.
• May be exposed to extreme temperatures.

Schedule

The Deli Clerk is a position with a flexible work schedule that includes weekdays, weekends, and holidays.
