Overview:
The role of an STNA involves making a difference in someone’s life by providing direct care to guests. The ideal candidate will possess patience, empathy, and a true desire to care for those in need, demonstrating promptness, dedication, and an enjoyment for caring for others.
Reporting Structure:
STNAs care for guests under the direct supervision of a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse.
Key Responsibilities:
• Take and record vital signs.
• Measure and record height and weight, as well as intake and output.
• Care for the guests’ environment.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, and toileting.
• Assist with eating and hydration.
• Observe guests’ skin when administering care and report changes to the licensed nurse; provide skin care as needed.
• Meet guests’ mental health and social service needs.
Qualifications:
• High school graduate/GED.
• STNA certification.
