Job Description: Future Advisor Program – 2025 Summer Internship

This internship offers college students (entering junior or senior year) the opportunity to learn about the financial services industry from Financial Professionals specializing in Wealth Management, Financial Protection, and Estate Planning strategies.

Responsibilities and Learning Opportunities:

• Learning how to prepare for meetings with clients and prospective clients.
• Learning the importance of, and how to prepare, presentations to clients and prospective clients.
• Learning how to research client portfolios and the importance of such research in the role of a Financial Professional.
• Attending in-house training sessions regarding industry issues, including compliance, regulations, and product training.
• Observing sales techniques to learn effective presentation skills.

Training:

Participants will receive training through self-paced, virtual, and branch training in areas such as:

• Selling Skills
• Market Development
• Product Knowledge
• Practice Management

Program Details:

Weekly Hours: 20-40 hours/week
Dates: 8 to 12-week program starting in July 2025
Hourly Rate: $20/hr
Location: Miami, Florida – South Florida Branch
Schedule: In-office, 5 days per week

Qualifications:

• College students entering junior or senior year
• Ability to work up to 40 hours per week for a maximum of 12 weeks
• Business/Finance major or equivalent
• 3.0 or higher-grade point average
• Desire to be in financial sales
• Actively involved in local community and exhibits leadership skills (e.g., fraternity/sorority involvement, sports teams, community service, campus clubs, associations, etc.)
• Driven, entrepreneurial spirit, and results-oriented
• Established oral and written communication skills

Skills (As stated in job listing):

Data Gathering and Reporting: Knowledge of tools, techniques, and processes for gathering and reporting data; ability to practice them in a particular department or division of a company.
Document Management: Knowledge of document management; ability to categorize, integrate, update, document and distribute business information in a secure, effective way.
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.
Knowledge of Organization: Knowledge of the organization’s vision, structure, culture, philosophy, operating principles, values, and code of ethics; ability to understand the value of aligning capabilities with business goals to support optimal performance.
Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.
Project Administration: Knowledge of project administration best practices and ability to use organizational strategies, practices and tools for administering projects.
