Job Description: Showroom Intern

Dal-Tile is seeking a Showroom Intern to provide support to Design Sales Consultants and ensure customers have the best showroom experience. This is a part-time, 6-month internship with mandatory Saturday hours and the potential for a permanent role.

Primary Objective:
Exposure to all aspects of the customer selections and buying experience. Including initial contact, specifications, CRM systems, pricing, sourcing, and overall organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide customers with selection and product advice.
• Communicate with customers and assist internal teams to follow leads and capture sales.
• Support sales growth by assisting showroom design and sales consultants with various duties.
• Assist in showroom operations, including ordering, receiving, and shipping samples, and maintaining showroom displays.
• Assist showroom efforts with lead generation, business research, and development.
• Maintain showroom samples/sample room and product labels.
• Assist in planning and coordinating showroom events.
• Perform other related duties and special projects as required.

Knowledge Required:

• Self-starter.
• Excellent time management.
• Strong communication, influence, and negotiating skills.
• Exercises independent judgment and initiative.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Collaborative and team-focused.

Physical Requirements:

• The associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms.
• The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associated may require sitting, climbing, or balance.
• The associate must lift and or move up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and the ability to adjust focus.
