Job Description:
FCA Internship
Overview:
The FCA Internship is a developmental ministry experience designed for student-athletes. It provides interns with the opportunity to explore their calling and career while gaining exposure to various aspects of ministry through FCA. Interns are collegiate volunteers, not employees, and do not receive hourly compensation. A nominal stipend may be provided to cover living-related expenses during the internship.
Goal:
The primary goal of the internship is to develop the intern’s understanding of their individual calling to ministry through related training and experience. The specifics of each internship will vary depending on location.
Ministerial Duties:
These duties are central to the FCA mission, and the intern’s role is vital to the ministry. All responsibilities must be carried out with a heart dedicated to serving God. Interns are expected to:
• Agree with, and abide by, FCA’s Christian Community Statement.
• Follow a spiritual rhythm including daily prayer and Bible study to seek the Lord’s will for FCA.
• Lead, conduct and provide spiritual leadership for staff, volunteers, coaches and athletes through prayer, Bible study, worship and living by example so they are equipped to serve others.
• Connect to and participate in a local church through worship and weekly involvement.
• Conduct yourself in a manner that affirms biblical standards of conduct in accordance with FCA’s Christian beliefs (see FCA’s Christian Community Statement) at all times.
