Job Description:
• Job Title: Worship Intern
• Department: Worship
• Reports To: Staff Worship Leader
• Days/Hours: Wednesday-Sunday (25-30 hours)
• Location: Weekdays: Fort Lauderdale Campus, Weekends: various campuses
Role Summary:
The Worship Intern will assist in preparing for and supporting Worship for Weekend Services. Initially, the intern will lead worship services in various venues at Calvary Chapel FTL to gain experience in different contexts (local campuses, Special Events, Beach Baptisms, etc.). The latter half of the internship will focus on one specific location to foster relationships with local staff, volunteers, and the church body.
Key Responsibilities and Opportunities:
• Resourcing Teams: Learning and utilizing tools like Planning Center Online, Vocal Notes, Charting, and Ableton Live.
• Culture: Participating in weekly Worship Department meetings, staff huddles, and other staff activities to understand the culture of Calvary Chapel FTL.
• Bi-monthly Meetings: Attending meetings with Worship Staff and other Creative Team members.
• Final Project: Developing and executing a personalized goal, in collaboration with the Supervisor, based on the intern’s gifts, passions, and identified needs of the church.
Learning Goals:
• Develop a greater understanding and love for leading worship in the Local Church.
• Grow in the area of intentional planning of services and the communication of details and expectations to both staff and volunteers.
• Grow in confidence of how to more effectively lead a rehearsal.
• Improve skills in adequately resourcing (i.e. charts, mp3s, instrument specific instruction, etc…) volunteers for success on the weekend.

Work Schedule (Example):
• Wednesday: 9am – 3pm (Global Resourcing and Growth)
• Thursday: 9am – 3pm (Campus Specific)
• Friday: 9am – 2pm (Intern Cohort)
• Saturday: 2pm – 8pm (Rehearsal and Services)
• Sunday: 7:30am – 2:00pm (Services)
Note: Schedule may vary based on campus-wide events. The role may require prolonged periods of bending, sitting, or standing, and the ability to lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 35 lbs.
