Job Title: Host Team Intern
Department: Hospitality
Reports To: Director of Hospitality
Location: Fort Lauderdale Campus
Role Summary:
The Host Team Intern plays a crucial role in creating a welcoming and hospitable environment for all who attend Calvary Chapel. They assist in various areas of church operations, including reception, weekend services, and special events like baptisms. This internship focuses on servant leadership, developing communication skills, and gaining experience in volunteer management and logistical coordination.
Key Responsibilities:
• Church Reception:
• Answering and directing incoming calls, providing information about services, ministries, directions, and resources.
• Assisting with Benevolence/Counseling/Prayer Requests.
• Church Services:
• Ensuring the campus is properly set up for weekend services (signage, handouts).
• Attending/leading pre-service meetings, sharing announcements and instructions.
• Connecting with and assisting in the training of new Host Team Volunteers.
• Assisting with volunteer placement to ensure all positions are covered.
• Supporting the New Believer Ministry, being available and present during altar calls.
• Assisting in staging/staffing of Connection Point (Welcome Center), and managing supplies.
• Managing the Church Lost and Found.
• Collaborating with the Parking Team to prevent delays.
• Assisting with Communion setup and distribution.
• Baptism:
• Coordinating with Baptism Speakers and the Worship Team.
• Organizing and packing the Baptism Truck with volunteers.
• Assisting with beach setup/teardown.

Work Schedule:
• Thursday: 9 am – 2 pm
• Friday: 9 am – 5 pm (Intern cohort from 9 am – 2 pm)
• Saturday: 1 pm – 8 pm
• Sunday: 8 am – 1 pm
Important Considerations:
• Hours and days may vary based on campus-wide events.
• Physical requirements include bending, sitting, standing for long periods, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
