SLCA North America, a division of SLCA, is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to using the game of chess to make a positive impact in communities globally. Through local tournaments, fundraisers, and campaigns, SLCA North America raises funds for various charitable organizations and causes across the United States and Canada. With over 200 branches across North America, SLCA North America is also committed to promoting chess education in underdeveloped communities, fostering analytical and problem-solving skills in young learners.
Job Description
The Leagues Department is responsible for coordinating with all SLCA state chapters to support tournament planning, logistics, and cross-chapter events. We are seeking passionate and reliable high school students to join the department as Leagues team members (unpaid opportunity), helping to manage inter-chapter communication, maintain event tracking systems, and guide state leaders in launching and running successful chess events. This remote volunteer role offers the opportunity to work behind the scenes in a leadership support capacity, helping SLCA chapters stay organized, connected, and active throughout the year.
