About the Job: Calvary Kids Worship Intern
This internship with Calvary Kids Worship (CKW) is designed for individuals passionate about serving God and leading the next generation in worship. The ideal candidate is committed to prayer, eager to grow in leadership and creativity, and willing to be flexible and teachable. While musical and dance knowledge is helpful, it is not required. The intern should model a heart for discipleship and a desire to invest in the spiritual growth of children.

Reports to: CKW Worship Leader
Days/Hours: Wednesday – Sunday (20-25 hours)
Location: Fort Lauderdale Campus
Key Responsibilities:
• Planning & Organization:
• Plan monthly services and schedules using Planning Center Online.
• Update the CKW webpage monthly with worship setlists, team roles, and important information.
• Assist with planning and executing various devotionals aligned with the monthly theme.
• Help organize and lead trainings for CKW members.
• Creative & Production Support:
• Assist in choreographing and recording new worship songs.
• Participate in or support video shoots and rehearsals.
• Communication & Coordination:
• Maintain consistent communication with the worship leader about new songs, motions, and devotionals.
• Worship Leadership & Development:
• Provide stage support and coach kids in developing stage presence and worship-leading skills.
• Be prepared to lead a full service when needed, including transitions and team coordination.
• Help create a worship culture where kids can lead others with confidence and humility.
• Discipleship & Relationship Building:
• Build strong, Christ-centered relationships with CKW team members.
• Model respectful, firm, and loving correction based on God’s Word when necessary.
• Safety & Environment:
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all children and volunteers.
• Weekend Support:
• On weekends, assist with set-up, check-in, rehearsals, and resetting for the week.
• Prayer & Spiritual Growth:
• Help lead prayer meetings and encourage a culture of prayer within the team.
• Event Support:
• Support Calvary Kids during special events as needed (e.g., Easter, Kids Conference, Christmas, outreaches, etc.).
• General Responsibilities:
• Be dependable, adaptable, and open to last-minute changes.
• Demonstrate a servant’s heart, especially when working with children.
• Show kindness, patience, and strong communication skills when interacting with kids, families, and volunteers.
• Be willing (though not required) to dance and model energy and joy on stage.
Learning Goals:
• Learn how to lead devotionals that are biblically accurate, age-appropriate (4th grade and up), and aligned with the monthly theme.
• Grow in your ability to teach and minister to kids in a fun, creative, and engaging way.
• Learn how to model a lifestyle of worship through prayer before rehearsals, encouraging others spiritually, and practicing personal spiritual disciplines (prayer, Scripture reading, worship, attending service, etc).
• Grow in spiritual disciplines through guided practice.
• Learn how to plan and lead all CKW aspects of rehearsals and services.
• Learn how to choreograph and teach new worship songs both high-energy and reflective styles.
• Learn how to coach CKW members in stage presence, movement, and worship-leading skills, helping them grow in confidence and excellence.
• Strengthen communication and relationship building skills.
• Build proficiency in Planning Center Online and time management.
• Learn how to evaluate successes and/or opportunities for growth and create a strategy for growth.
• Participate in monthly mentorship meetings to discuss growth, strengths, and discern next steps in your faith and calling.

• Excited about global missions and local outreach – you want to change the world.
• Willing to give up personal pleasures and freedoms in order to live a life above reproach and that is aligned with scripture and our Leadership Covenant.
• Effective in written, listening, and oral communication skills.
Work Schedule:
• Wednesday: 9am – 4pm (Flexible hours)
• Thursday: 9am – 4pm (Flexible hours except for Staff huddle from 9am – 10:30am)
• Friday: 9am – 2pm (Intern cohort)
• Saturday: 4pm – 8pm
• Sunday: 8am – 2pm
Hours and days may vary depending on campus-wide events taking place. The role may require bending, sitting, or standing for prolonged periods, and lifting up to 35 lbs.
