This opportunity provides hands-on experience in a clinical setting, preparing interns for future roles in behavioral health.
Job Description
As an intern at the Behavioral Health Clinic, you will:
• Provide therapy services: Conduct individual, group, couples, or family therapy sessions.
• Participate in case conferences and multi-disciplinary meetings: Collaborate with other professionals to discuss cases and treatment plans.
• Manage a caseload: Perform assessment, treatment planning, and ongoing psychotherapy for assigned clients.
• Make referrals: Connect clients with other resources, agencies, clinics, and hospitals as needed.
• Assist with discharge planning: Support clients transitioning out of treatment settings.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Enrolled in the second year of a Master’s Degree program (LICSW or LMHC license-eligible) from an accredited school.
Program Requirements:
• Time Commitment: 16-20 hours per week (flexible to accommodate internship requirements).
• Billable Hours: Expectation of 12-15 billable hours per week.
• Skills: Must possess the skills to engage and work effectively with individuals from diverse backgrounds.
