Job Description:
The company is seeking a creative and driven Social Media Editor & Manager Intern for a 6-month, unpaid remote internship. The intern will curate engaging social media posts, identify trending content, help manage social media platforms, and assist with graphic design and video editing using Canva. This role requires strong time management, self-discipline, and a commitment to attending weekly mandatory Monday meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Content Creation: Curate and draft compelling social media posts using existing articles, video content, and trending topics.
• Trend Sourcing: Collaborate with senior team members to identify trending content and apply those findings to daily social media output.
• Platform Management: Help organize and schedule content within social media management tools.
• Creative Support: Assist with graphic design and video editing for social posts using Canva.
• Pitch Ideas: Regularly brainstorm and pitch fresh content ideas.
• Gain hands-on experience in content strategy, trend tracking, and voice development.
Requirements:
• 1+ years of experience in content curation and social media management within an entertainment and lifestyle publication.
• Intermediate proficiency with various social media platforms and analytics tools.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
• Creative thinker with the ability to develop engaging and innovative content.
• Proficient in graphic design and content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and eagerness to learn.
• Available to commit to and complete a 6-month internship.
• Attendance to weekly mandatory Monday Meeting
• Responsiveness in the communication channels
• Strong knowledge of pop culture, entertainment, and lifestyle, or a willingness to learn.
• Able to follow directions effectively.
